I Made It!

So I made it through my first Thanksgiving cooking fest (for 12 I might add) with flying colors. We had more than enough food and everything was edible. I can't hardly believe it.

So mom sent me a bunch of maternity clothes which came today, but my favorite is the flannel pajamas. I already put them on and have been walking around the house yelling "I got new jammies, I got new jammies." I think my brother-in-law thinks I'm weird or something......

This weekend is my nephew's 3rd birthday party! I can't believe he is three already. I wonder if time will go that fast when I have mine. Speaking of mine, I keep telling my husband it must be a girl cause I can only think of girls names and no boys names. I already decided if it IS a girl, I want to name her Katelyn Danielle. I'm not sure if that's how you spell Katelyn or not, but hey, it's my kid so I can spell it whatever way I want right? I guess I have to go online and look for some boys names just in case. The middle name is already decided since it has been in his family for several generations, I just have to pick a first name to go with Denton..... that makes it kinda tough.

Work is still going good, and I promise I'll have more pics from the wedding soon and some from the party this weekend too.

Funny Email

Got this from my MIL......

How Rubber Gloves Are Made
Next time you use a pair of rubber gloves you can remember this.....

A dentist noticed that his next patient, a little old lady, was nervous so he decided to tell her a little joke as he put on his gloves.

"Do you know how they make these gloves?" he asked.

"No, I don't," she replied.

"Well," he spoofed, "there's a building in Mexico with a big tank of latex and workers of all hand sizes walk up to the tank, dip in their hands, let them dry, then peel off the gloves and throw them into boxes of the right size."

She didn't crack a smile.

"Oh, well. I tried," he thought.

But five minutes later, during a delicate portion of the procedure, she burst out laughing.

"What's so funny?" he asked.

"I was just envisioning how condoms are made!"

Gotta watch those little old ladies! Their minds are always working...

Damn it, I forgot

to tell you all about the best piece of news I've heard in a while........

Jeff Bowden has "retired"

HOORAY!!!! GO NOLES!!!!!

Needles, Needles Everywhere

So I had to go this morning for what I'm sure will be just the first in a series of blood tests......They took FIVE vials of blood, I asked her if she made sure she left some for me. Since I have some 2nd? cousins that have cystic fibrosis, I have to have a carrier test for that as well as all the normal stuff they do. So this should be fun. My appointment to see the actual doctor is December 1st - so I should be able to give y'all a due date then.

We're supposed to have a yard sale today to get rid of a BUNCH of stuff - hopefully that all goes well. I already told the husband nothing that leaves the house is coming back, so if it doesn't get bought, it's getting donated somewhere. I doubt it will happen today though, it may end up being tomorrow.

More pics from the wedding soon. Until then, ta ta for now or TTFN.

Guess What Came in the Mail for me Today????

I got my copy of the papers that show my house is officially sold! This means I no longer have to talk to or deal with that retarded ex of mine or his crack head girlfriend......YAY!!! I think I'll do a happy dance right now!!!!

So Aunt Tammi keeps pestering me about posting, and I have to say, I don't really have much to say. My house is sold, the job is good, the wedding is over. I haven't gotten an appointment with the OB yet so I can't give you a due date on the baby, but as soon as I know, you'll know. I'll be starting back at school in Jan (depending on the due date) and then taking a semester or two off before finishing my bachelor's degree. I'm sure though that through out the pregnancy and after the baby is born, there will be lots of stories so please be patient.

Peace Y'all

Thank God That's Over

So we're back. Let me just say that I never want to spend a whole week in the keys again. Yea, it was pretty out on the water and all, but just not for me. So there was some kind of catastrophe every day we were there....

We got there Sunday to check in. His grandparents paid for our hotel for us as a wedding gift (YAY for grandparents). Well it seems they don't allow you to check into a hotel under someone else's credit card without some kind of form filled out. Never mind that his grandmother told them she was booking it for someone else when she made the reservations.....So anyway, we had to give them my card so they'd let us check in until we could get ahold of his grandmother to straighten the whole thing out. We went out to eat, and then came back and went to bed.

Monday we went out shopping and touring around the town for the day. Not too bad, until we got back to the hotel and I realized my battery light was on. Yes folks, my alternator took a shit and the husband had to change it right there in the hotel parking lot.

Tuesday we took a catamaran out to the Dry Tortugas. It was pretty cool, we went snorkeling and stuff. That is, it was pretty cool till we realized we forgot the sunscreen and both of us got burnt like lobsters. We did get some really cool underwater pics though, when I get them developed I'll try and post some.

Wednesday we decided to do some more shopping. The first two stores we go to my card gets declined. So at this point I'm freaking out cause I know I have money, and his grandmother called Monday morning and got the whole room thing straightened out. So I call the bank, and come to find out, the hotel never released the hold on my card for the room. Yea, that was a blast!!! So finally after a bunch of harrasing cell phone calls in the rain under an awning, it gets straightened out and we go home. Well it seems the hotel felt bad after getting screamed at by a very angry grandmother and decided we needed a bottle of sparkling wine. Which was nice, except I can't drink it.

Thursday we go out walking around for more shopping and site seeing. We get into Sloppy Joe's right before it starts POURING. Then we hear the people at the table next to us talking about sandbags at the door as we're getting up to leave and we're like, yea right, they don't know what they're talking about. Then we notice the inch deep water on the floor in the restaurant. So we go over to the gift shop to get me a t-shirt, and sure enough, there's sand bags at the entrance, and the water in the street is about knee deep. So then we had to wade through all that water, in the rain, to get back to the parking garage where my car was parked. Then we have to sit in the garage for an hour waiting for the water to go down so we can drive back to the hotel.

Needless to say, we checked out early on Friday. But we can say we've been to the keys now.....
