American Idol Top 10

Wow, I'm really disappointed in last night's results!!!! I can't believe that Ace got more votes than Katherine!!!!!!! Who are you people voting for???? Well I was right about Lisa going home, but my bottom three was off by one - I had Kellie there this time instead of Katherine.

Ya'll better start voting right next time......

More Pictures

So since I had such a good time sharing my Busch Gardens pics with you all, I figured I'd share some more.

These are from BF and I's first date at St. Augustine..... Yea I know they're all buildings - I really enjoyed the architecture there.

American Idol Top 10

Well, I don't know what to think after last night....I thought Paris and Chris were the bomb, but apparently Simon thinks they're over the top. Honestly, I know he's an ass, but he's usually the only one who is right on a regular basis. I also loved Elliot's arrangement. I guess Simon and I just disagree this time (on some things anyway).

So my picks for bottom three this time are Lisa (again), Kellie (for the first time), and Ace (again). I know I said Lisa would be the first of the "good" singers to go, but I think she's going home this time. That song she did was HORRIBLE. She definitely proved Simon's theory on young singers on American Idol......

Animals Everywhere!

So we went to Busch Gardens this weekend - they have totally redone their whole animal exhibits - they take up half the park almost! So anyway, about halfway through the day (it was low to mid 60's with a pretty strong breeze all day so we were freezing in our shorts and t-shirts) my BF starts going "It's getting warm out, let's go on some water rides...blah blah blah" So we decided to do it. BIG MISTAKE. We got SOAKED and it was FREEZING for the rest of the day. And before you ask, no I did NOT ride Sheekra. I don't do big roller coasters.

Here's some pics for those of you that are interested.....

This One's For All the Geeks Out There

Anyone who is a Stats geek or an NHRA geek - I need your help. I have to do a project for my stats class - a multiple linear regression or a one or two way ANOVA with real data. Since I just went to the Gatornationals last week, I figured I could use that as my subject. I'm looking at using either 1/4 mile times or mph as my dependant variable, but since I don't really know much about the rules of NHRA (I'm talking top fuel here), I was kind of unsure as to what to use for my independent variables. I don't know if it is as regulated as NASCAR as far as how you can build your cars and such. Two I came up with were air temperature at the time of the race, and what track they are running. So how bout it people? Any other ideas on variables for me? Of course I'm also willing to hear completely different ideas on what to use for my project as well. It's due the 19th of April, so I'm hoping to get started fairly quickly.

On a different note, got a call from the ex today - it seems he's stressed out trying to pay for the house himself so he is now willing to sell. YAY! And.....just spent 45minutes talking to my old boss who now lives in Citrus Springs - she works in Ocala for one of my current employers customers. She seems to think she may have a job for me when I move to Gainesville in August (45 minute commute) so hopefully everything will work out soon.

American Idol Top 11

Last nights show was for the most part excellent. My fav's all brought their A game last night. Is it just me, or does it seem like we have more really truly talented singers in the top twelve this year than any other year so far??? LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Chris' new version of "Walk the Line" (BTW - You should see this movie, it is awesome). Also loved Mandisa, Taylor, Paris, Katharine, and Eliott. Ace did much better than last week so unfortunately, I think he is safe, along with Kellie. (This girl KILLS me.....she is D - U - M, dumb. I wish they would get her off the show just cause she's so dumb - but people love her "innocence"). Lisa did another OK performance - she will definitely be the first of the "good" singers to go.

As for who's going home, I think it's a toss up between Bucky and Kevin. I predict the bottom three will be Bucky, Kevin, and Lisa.

Thought for the day.......

Ok, so I was lazy yesterday and didn't post anything.....here's two for today (the first one is dedicated to Aunt Tammi).

Hooray! I'm still alive after my week of partying......

LOL - we didn't party the whole week, BF had to work unfortunately. I did manage to get some things done during the week that I had been wanting to do (mainly be lazy), so that was good. He finally figured out what the whistling noise was under the hood of my car! YAY!!!! NO MORE EMBARRASING NOISE!!!!!!! I can't tell you how excited I am about that. Like I said, didn't really do much during the week - Friday night we went out for St. Patty's Day, Saturday we had a party for me (I know, we celebrate my birthday a lot) with all my friends in Gainesville. Sunday we went out the Gatornationals - Tony Schumacher was already out of the running (very unusual) so that kind of put a damper on my day but the rest was good. Anyway, I'm glad to be back and I'm looking forward to catching up on all my reading.....

Party Time

So last night was my "birthday" party. We had a blast!

Mom kept hinting all day that we may get a "special surprise visitor" but no one would tell me who. Well finally just about the time dinner is ready, in walks T1G. Wow! What a surprise! So I got to meet the first of the blog crew. We had a great time drinking and carrying on - we even made him play spoons with us (poor guy, we may have scared him a little bit).

Of course, we had to call up Aunt Tammi so she could participate in the festivities. After all, she did start the tradition of family game night (I think we may have scared her a bit too).

AND.....they got me an Ipod!!!!! YAY!!!! And it's 60GB!!!!!! I'm so excited I could pee myself - though I almost ruined it already by spilling my Mike's last night as I was checking it out. Good thing there were still napkins on the table from dinner.

I can't even begin to describe the good time that was had (hopefully) by all. Thanks T1G for coming, and you're welcome back anytime - even if you do snore....LOL

So I'm getting ready to pack my stuff - heading off for a week of workless bliss in Gainesville. I mentioned there will be no internet - I'll look forward to reading everything that went on and posting again myself when I get back next weekend.

Ack! Too Many Sweets!

We are celebrating my birthday at work today since I will be on vacation all next week - Not only do I have a huge chocolate sheet cake, but also cookies, and ice cream cake from the restaurant where we went to lunch! Anybody want any? I'll e-mail it to you.

Your American Idol Top 12

Ace Young
Bucky Covington
Chris Daughtry
Elliott Yamin
Katharine McPhee
Kellie Pickler
Kevin Covais
Lisa Tucker
Mandisa
Melissa McGhee
Paris Bennett
Taylor Hicks

I was more than a little disappointed that Kevin is still in the competition - who is voting for America, 10 year old girls that think he is cute??!! That song last week was horrible, I can't understand it - Gedeon was way better. But then, Gedeon was full of himself too so maybe that's why no one voted for him.

Tune in next week to see the top twelve duke it out.

American Idol Guys

Ok - so the guys last night were again a little more impressive than the girls. Loved Taylor, Chris, and Elliot (even though Simon didn't like all of them). Ace was actually pretty good last night - I wasn't expecting anything great from him. I also enjoyed Bucky and Gedeon.

My votes to go home are:

Kevin - sorry hun - you're cute, but WTF was that song you did? It sucked big time.
Will - James Taylor is THE BOMB - his songs should NEVER EVER be sung like that...bye bye.

Tune in tomorrow for the results!

Ok, so after seeing this quiz everywhere, I decided to check it out. I am a faithful leader!

The faithful I get, but I'm not to sure about the leader part - some things ring true, but some don't (mainly the confidence part)

NE way - here is the link to check out the description of a faithful leader

American Idol Girls

Ok - so some pretty bland performances from Paris and Lisa. I thought Lisa sounded like she was off somehow throughout most of the song. Katherine and Mandisa impress once again - Mandisa more so. I agree with Simon, she was in a whole 'nother class last night. Kellie did pretty well with her song to. Ayla was okay as well.

Based on the singing last night I think it will be Melissa and Kinnik. though I was hoping for Kellie cause she really annoys me.

Ok - It's officially one week until my birthday - YAY time for presents (LOL)! So I'm taking all of next week off to spend in Gainesville and since he doesn't have internet....I know, it's sacreligious! You all tell him he needs to get internet so I can continue to post while I'm gone.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand - here's what I want for my birthday:

Weekend Festivities

A good time was had by all......Friday night we just kind of vegged in front of the TV and fell asleep on the couch. YAY! What a relaxing time! Saturday = bang bang in the backyard = FUN. Saturday night had a little get together - cooked some good food on the grill and just had a good time. Watched "Waiting" - F-ing hilarious - we watched it twice. Sunday - BF finally figured out why all of the sudden I keep getting whistling through the windows in my car YAY! THAT HAS BEEN DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!!! Now if he can just figure out what the other whistling noise is..... Planted some veggies in the garden we decided to make out by the shed and got really dirty. Ate some buffalo chicken wings that made me projectile vomit. Got halfway home and got stuck in 55mph traffic for quite a few miles, thus adding about 1/2 hr to my drive time. Ok- so Sunday wasn't all that great but the rest of the weekend was good.

Advice for the Masses

I'm sure many of you have seen this before, but they way I've been feeling in the last few days I thought I should try and share this with as many people as possible (that way you don't piss me off too)

ONE. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

TWO. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.

THREE. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

FOUR. When you say, "I love you," mean it.

FIVE. When you say, "I'm sorry," look the person in the eye.

SIX. Be engaged at least six months before you get married.

SEVEN. Believe in love at first sight.

EIGHT. Never laugh at anyone's dream. People who don't have dreams don't have much.

NINE. Love ! deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.

TEN.. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.

ELEVEN. Don't judge people by their relatives.

TWELVE. Talk slowly but think quickly.

THIRTEEN. When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer,
smile and ask, "Why do you want to know?"

FOURTEEN. Remember that great love and great achievements involve
great risk.

FIFTEEN. Say "bless you" when you hear someone sneeze.

SIXTEEN. When you lose, don't lose the lesson.

SEVENTEEN. Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for
others; and responsibility for all your actions.

EIGHTEEN. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

NINETEEN. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate
steps to correct it.

TWENTY. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in
your voice.

TWENTY-ONE. Spend some time alone.

Three out of Four Ain't Bad

This week I picked three out of four correctly. For the girls I had chosen Kinnik and Heather, but it was Brenna and Heather. They were the bottom three though so that's pretty close. For the guys I had chosen David and Jose. YAY JOSE IS FINALLY GONE. He seemed like a nice guy, but he just couldn't sing as well as the others.

So next week we lose two more...

I'm going to go ahead and say it will probably be Kevin and Will for the guys and Kinnik and Kellie for the girls. I may change my mind based on their performances though.

Caution, May Contain Numerous Expletives!!!!

To all the nice guys out there who may be reading this - I apologize in advance.....I am very pissed off today and there's no telling what kind of foul things I may say. No that that's out of the way.....

Men are SCUM!

Some of you may or may not have picked up on some derogatory comments about my "ex" - I'll have to give you a little background before you can understand at all how seriously pissed off I am right now....

We were dating for five years - the last half of the relationship was pretty rocky. We fought A LOT and kept breaking up and getting back together. At one point we were pretty much finished, when he called me one day to let me know that his dad had a stroke and they weren't sure if he would make it. Now I have to say, I LOVED his dad and I miss him like crazy. HE was a wonderful man. Also at this point I did not hate him and so of course I rushed right over to support him (this is not the only time I have supported him unconditionally). Anyway - I went to the funeral and I even drove with him to Alabama to bury his ashes. One thing led to another and we ended up getting back together. Well imagine my surprise when he asked me to marry him at Christmas. Of course I said yes - after all we'd been through I thought we could make it work.

He had received a chunk of money from his dad's insurance and decided he wanted to use it for a down payment on a house. Ok cool - we were buying a house, we were going to get married, everything was great. I should have known something was off when he started bucking at my name being on the mortgage. My credit being what it was, we qualified for an 80/10/10 loan, which kept us from having to pay mortgage insurance - thus lessening the payments. Well in the end he signed the g*d damn papers so whatever. We lived together for about 2 months before things started getting really, really bad. I mean to the point where I didn't even want to be around him. He was constantly finding things wrong with me. I didn't cook good, I wasn't a porn star in bed (sorry mom - I know it's gross), I didn't buy what he liked to eat at the grocery store (even though he would refuse to go with me or tell me what he wanted) and so he would refuse to give me money for groceries though he would eat anyway. He would tell me I'm fat and then never supported my efforts to lose weight. Pretty much belittled me every chance he got. Finally we had a knock down drag out (figuratively - he never hit me even though he verbally abused me often) and I decided to move out. I packed up all my stuff, called UHaul, went looking for apartments and moved out finally in August. (At this point we had been living together again for only 4 months). Not long after that, I got a call from his supposedly best friend in Gainesville (yes this is the guy I am dating now, but I swear everything worked out the way it was supposed to) to tell me that he was aware we weren't together anymore but thought I might like to find out from him (we were friends) rather than someone else that my now ex fiancee had been f*cking his girlfriend.

At this point everything just went downhill. I was shocked, appalled, and just plain felt like an ass. She is NASTY Ya'll - I don't know what he sees in her and that's what hurt the most. That he would rather be with a redneck, piece of shit, crack head, dirty bitch. This girl took advantage of her bf every chance she got. She was divorced with two kids - got fired from her job not long after they started dating, and didn't work again after that until they started having problems. He even found cocaine in her purse one time after she swore to him that she didn't do drugs. And my ex would always tell him he didn't need her and she was a dumb bitch, etc, etc. Well they were probably f*cking at the time anyway.

Bringing us to current day. I'm still on the g*d damn mortgage so I've been trying to be civil with him since threatening him with a partition suit didn't work and I'm trying to get him to refinance or sell so I can be off the mortgage. The good news is at the end of the month, the loan becomes assumable so hopefully this will all be over soon.

Which brings me to the point of this post. Last night, the retard calls me to ask if I had the coasters his sister bought him when we first moved in together. WTF!!! You're calling to argue with me about f'ng coasters?!? (which by the way she bought for me - they have flowers and butterfly's all over them....) He tells me yeah - he found himself folding up napkins to put drinks on and thought he used to have coasters somewhere. Again - WTF!!!!??? He's been living without coasters since August - why the sudden interest? Then I hear the dumb bitch in the background and it hits me - she's pissed off cause he doesn't have any - so he's decided to call and bitch at me about it. If the dumb crack head bitch wants some coasters - tell her to take her ass to Walmart and buy some - they're like 99cents. I know she can afford it with all the tip money she makes from f*cking all the drunks at the scuzzy bar she works at.

Then he calls me back like 20 minutes later to tell ME she wants and the plants and the picture of her son from the funeral back. And this is my problem how???? Well she has the title to his truck and his car, and his gun, and some other stuff and she wants to trade him for it. Again - my problem how? If she wanted that shit so bad, she should have taken it with her when she moved out. So whatever. I'll tell him about it in case he still has her stuff and wants his back. So I tell him I'll ask him about it but I can't guarantee anything. Well apparently, that was the wrong thing to say - he proceeded to yell and scream at me about how he (my BF) needs to do this and that and the other and he owes her money (how - she never had a job) and all this other crazy shit and they he may have him a truck soon. WOW - he must be stupid. The title is not signed, and it is in my BF's name - who is currently in possession of said truck and it is even registered and insured in his name. What claim does he think he has to it just cause he has the title???? Anyway being as cracked out as she is, she doesn't remember that she asked his brother about a month ago to put all of her stuff out on his porch one day cause she was coming to get it (plants and picture included) and never showed up to get it - now it's gone. I guess that one's on them isn't it. But, where the FUCK does he get off calling me to ask to get HER stuff back in the first place. Do you think I give a SHIT about what she wants? We are OVER - you don't get to (try) hurt me anymore.

/rant

Seriously - I apologize - I had to get that out

Yay Guys!

So the American Idol guys last night were much better than the girls (well some of them were anyway). Taylor was good - I didn't care for his song but I still think he's one of the better singers. Elliott - Damn! If only you were good looking too, you'd be the whole package! Ace - Way too pretty to be singing crap like that. I thought he was off here and there. Gedeon - he was pretty good, but there's just something about him I don't like. Jose - still disagree with the judges on this one - last week was NOT better. Will - good vocals but hated the performance. He is someone I would change the station if I heard him come on. Bucky - Very good. Chris - OMG YOU SO ROCK, I LOVE YOU.

So my picks this week to go home -

Jose - again; a crappy performance overall
David - I think America is over the crooning. I would say Will but I think there are a lot of teenage girls out there that heart him.

Artistic and Freaky???

I keep seeing this everywhere so I thought I'd try it - again pretty close to my personality.

You Are Austin

A little bit country, a little bit rock and roll.
You're totally weird and very proud of it.
Artistic and freaky, you still seem to fit in... in your own strange way.

Famous Austin residents: Lance Armstrong, Sandra Bullock, Andy Roddick

YAY! Let's blow stuff up!

BF just found out the local authorities are giving him permission to put a gun range on the back of the property. YAY! That means we can blow stuff up whenever we want!!!!

That is all.

What Happened?!?

Ok girls - You blew me away last week, but last night was kinda blah.

Nobody really impressed me this week. I still really LOVE Katherine and Paris - their voices are fabulous; Mandisa is pretty good too. The Florida girl - Melissa - sorry hun, I just can't stand your voice for some reason. It's like you're always reaching for the higher pitch but never quite making it. Brenna - you get on my nerves - 'nuff said. Not a big fan of Lisa - yeah I know she can really sing and she's only 16, but I think some of the other girls are way better. Ayla and Kellie were ok.

My picks to go home:

Kinnik - I know you tried to have fun with that song, but the vocals SUCKED sorry.
Heather - Um, Mariah just had another nervous breakdown after you sang her song like that. YUCK!

Stay tuned to find out if I'm right.
